In August 2023, I got to act alongside talented actress, Hannah Frankland, in ‘Family Divides’, a short film written and directed by Brian Timoney. My role was that of Penelopé, an young woman grappling with the nuanced emotions that surround motherhood and infertility.

The film revolves around a poignant conversation between Penelopé and her younger sister, Holly, who is confronting an unexpected pregnancy that she feels unprepared for just moments after the positive test. The sisters have very contrasting perspectives on parenthood and morality which their intimate dialogue explores.

It was really interesting to focus in on the world of familial complexities and personal beliefs and I enjoyed taking on the role of Penelopé, diving into her perspective in this vulnerable narrative.
